Matrix is proud to be a trusted partner in the $135 million redevelopment of Denver’s Broadway Station — a 50-acre brownfield site, formerly home to Gates Rubber The site is being reimagined as a vibrant, walkable, high-density urban hub with seamless multimodal and mass transit access. Since first becoming involved in this transformative project in 2016, Matrix has played a key role in advancing this long-term vision. Most recently, the site was announced as the future home of the Colorado Woman’s Soccer Club stadium, with a completion expected in 2028—further solidifying Broadway Station as a cornerstone of Denver’s urban future. Matrix continues to provide a vast variety of services in support of the ongoing development plans.
As a recognized leader in construction management, civil engineering, and program delivery, Matrix has brought deep technical expertise and strategic coordination to every phase of this ambitious project. Our multidisciplinary team has led the effort through complex regulatory, engineering, and logistical challenges — including construction of three new bridges, including the Kentucky Bridge that spans the South Platte River and two over an active rail corridor.
With comprehensive services ranging from design to owner representation to managing the infrastructure construction, Matrix coordinated closely with the City of Denver, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), the Regional Transportation District (RTD), Union Pacific, and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, and multiple public and private stakeholders to bring this visionary redevelopment to life.
