Load Ratings

Load ratings serve as the basis for ensuring structures are capable of supporting expected loads.

Structures may become structurally deficient over time if they are not properly maintained. Main load-carrying components, such as the deck, superstructure, and substructure of a bridge, may not be able to support the same loads they were originally designed for. Our structural engineers perform bridges and structure load ratings in conformance with AASHTO and utilize the federally required load rating software, AASHTOWare BrR (BrR). We understand the intricacies of BrR and can perform load ratings for a wide variety of structure types, regardless of their age.
