Matrix supported the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Sustainment in its effort to simplify and optimize management of Department of Defense (DoD) infrastructure and property. The DoD manages real property across 350 military installations and almost 5,000 sites worldwide. This makes the standardization and streamlined execution of construction projects imperative for budgetary and planning reasons.

Matrix’s analysis enhanced the efficiency and effectiveness of the DoD’s construction processes. The Matrix Team studied current challenges in military construction and identified methods to improve and innovate the processes to reduce poor practices and performances. The project paved the way for substantial improvements in the DoD’s military construction systems and management processes.
