Granby Ranch Road Rehabilitation

Matrix provided construction management and oversight inspection services to Granby Realty Holdings, LLC, and Headwaters Metropolitan District for one of their largest rehabilitation projects to date. The scope included constructing asphalt roadways, installing gas line sleeves, and improving drainage features for numerous filings at the four-season ski and golf community. The properties span more than 5,000 acres of alpine terrain, extending into the Sol Vista Basin ski area.

Matrix was responsible for post-construction analysis of the many complex drainage issues, as well as analyzing geotechnical performance relative to contract descriptions at the site. Competent analyses and third-party perspectives underpinned Matrix’s ability to resolve construction issues arising from the demanding mountain terrain. We used our extensive experience, technical expertise, and knowledge of the area to recommend alternative contracting methods to the client, which saved sufficient time for additional work to be performed during the short construction season. That resulted in on-time completion of the project.

We provided comprehensive construction inspection services for Granby Ranch, including daily construction reporting, scheduling, cost reporting, and full inspection and contractor oversight for the owner. We also coordinated with the Town of Granby to ensure efficient project close-out. In summary, all aspects of construction management were handled by our team.
