Nick Talocco, P.E. Participates in ASCE Legislative Fly-In at Washington D.C.

Matrix Environmental Services Senior Project Engineer Nick Talocco, P.E., was selected by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for the Legislative Fly-in at Washington D.C., to advocate for the profession on the Hill in Washington DC and help advance the society’s public policy goals. Nick met with directors to discuss continued support of the bipartisan infrastructure bill and funding of the bill through an approved FY 23 budget, the reauthorization of the Water Resources and Development Act, and SB 3609 Gas Tax Relief Bill.  

Nick participated in meetings with ASCE’s Committee on America’s Infrastructure, a collective group of ASCE members who produce the annual Report Card for America’s Infrastructure. Nick previously contributed to the 2017 and 2021 report’s solid waste and hazardous waste sections.

Nick also attended ASCE’s Committee on Adaptation to a Changing Climate, a group of ASCE members conducting research and development on climate change and its effects on the safety, health, and welfare of the public as it relates to civil engineering infrastructure.
