A 23-year History of Brownfields Remediation

Since 2001 Matrix has been committed to working on environmental cleanup projects to facilitate reuse! Matrix has completed more than 50 brownfield projects and similar remediation and redevelopment programs across the country, including the Stanley Marketplace Redevelopment in Aurora, Colorado and PuebloPlex Redevelopment in Pueblo, Colorado. Our understanding and expertise in the processes and requirements defining all stages of brownfield projects, from property identification and grant writing through redevelopment master planning and construction management, has provided our clients with efficiencies and securities in seeing their projects to completion. With in-depth knowledge of the local, state, and federal regulatory frameworks guiding Brownfield redevelopment opportunities, we assist our clients in the realm of permitting, funding, and approvals.

Matrix has completed hundreds of Phase I and II ESAs and numerous QAPPs and SAPs, and when it comes to cleanup and development planning Matrix staff has years of experience completing remediation. We understand the regulations and have worked with many of the EPA regulators for years, which allows for collaboration and the EPA to understand the cleanup requirements necessary to allow the beneficial reuse of brownfield properties. As we develop analysis of Brownfield Cleanup Alternatives (ABCAs), we provide alternatives that make sense for the potential future uses of a site and that are acceptable to the regulators.
