Shoal Creek Valley is a 1,700-acre community of 10,000 residences located in Kansas City, Missouri, and is served by a village center providing civic, retail, and employment uses for Shoal Creek Community and the surrounding regions. The community master plan addressed land use, parks and open space facilities, infrastructure (including circulation and utilities), community design guidelines, and implementation strategies.

The community master plan organized the property into ten neighborhoods based on unique physical attributes and proposed land use types ranging from golf course, semi-rural residential, and senior living to more dense traditional neighborhood development. Parks and open space are interlinked by a network of pedestrian and bicycle trails. Stream corridors are retained as natural habitat areas while serving an innovative role in the storm water detention and water quality facilities.
